As of yesterday, Kim and I have been married for 19 years! Our 
family has been entirely consumed with transition over the last 12 days, and all of a sudden we looked up and realized that it was July 22……………we laughed that we had let the day sneak up on us. We took the girls to Panera Bread for lunch and grilled hamburgers last night and called it our anniversary celebration. Why not, huh? Marriage is, indeed, a partnership. It has it’s good, it’s bad, and it’s ugly, but in the end there is a common denominator centered around love, family, and God. I heard an older gentlemen one time say to his family sitting around the large table at Thanksgiving, “Look to your left and to your right because these are the people that will be with you all the way to the end of this life.” I remember meeting Kim at the University of Georgia BSU on a Tuesday night, and somehow just “knew.” I chased her, she avoided me for awhile, but then, finally. We’ve had an amazing 19 year journey!

To say the least, mother’s are special people! 
It doesn’t matter how young you are or how old you get, your mother is the #1 stabilizing factor in your life. My mom and dad live in Mississippi, and this goes out to my mother, Ann Craven, who has been the best mother I could have ever hoped to have!!! She’s talented, gifted, and one of the most genuine Christians you will ever meet. She’s an encourager, a motivator, and loves people. Mom, Mother: I love you and appreciate the value you have added to me all these years and continue to add. I’m thankful there is a heaven, because I cannot imagine God creating such a great person, and the world of believers not ever getting to meet that person. That person is you! I love you with all of my heart!!! - Shane
Happy Mother’s Day to my sister, Allison Riggs, out in the high desert of Las Vegas. She’s a great mother to Zach and Daniel.
Happy Mothers’ Day also to my mother-in-law, Margaret Ridley. She’s another mom to me. We’re grateful for close family on both sides. God has been good!

Kim, you are such a great mother! The love, authenticity, God-heartedness, and focus our kids demonstrate is such a great tribute to you. You’ve got it all Kimmie!!!
This is our Origin Church mascot……..just kidding! The kids have been asking me to put Lulu on the blog. Well, I guess I will. She is a part of our family, for sure. She’s a good friend, loves to travel, sleep, and eat. Because of our died in the wool loyalty to the Georgia Bulldogs, we decided several years ago that we just had to try an English Bulldog as a pet. All of our kids love animals, so it was an easy fit. 
No doubt, this breed is so fun, odd, funny, and gentle. We never realized how agile they are. She can jump three feet high. She sure brings a lot of love and is a built-in vehicle for our kids to learn and appreciate responsibility. They are fabulous at taking care of her. How ’bout them dawgs!
